May 17, 2014 (Charleston, IL). Senior Paulina Gal qualified to the IHSA State meet in the 300m hurdles, discus, and the shot put. She did a great job balancing three events in the prelims with little rest in between her events. She did make it to the finals in the shot put, and finished 6th overall. Paulina Gal is All-State in the Shot Put with a 6th place finish with a personal best throw of 43-01/4 . This is the first time since 1997 that a Reavis Ram made it into the finals, let alone become All-State. All-State is decided by being in the top nine of the finals. Paulina ended up with her second fastest 300m hurdles time of her career, but did not make finals. She threw decent in the discus, but did not make the finals. Paulina represented Reavis quite well at the state meet. She is excited to continue her career at Loyola University next year.
