Girls Track and Field compete amazing at SSC Red Conference...earning 2nd place overall

Palos Heights, IL  (May 7, 2015).  What an amazing night for the Reavis Girls Track and Field team.  The Rams finished an unexpected 2nd place overall team finish at the SSC Conference meet Thursday at Shepard, outscoring Oak Lawn by only TWO points.  It was a night to remember, as the Rams worked as a team and laid it all on the track!  Sophomore Aleks Kamienska had an amazing night as she placed 1st overall in the shot put, giving her All-Conference honors.  Aleks also finished 3rd in the discus.  Sylvia Kozielski finished 2nd in the 100m and 4th in the triple jump.  Stephanie Majewski finished 2nd in the 3200m and 5th in the 1600m.  Yuliana "yoyo" Olivares finished 2nd in the 800m and 4th in the 1600m.  Aneta Stoch finished 2nd in the 300m hurdles.  Christine Trovato finished 3rd in the 3200m.  Tara Rojas finished 4th in the 100m hurdles, while Tara Rapp finished 6th in the 100m hurdles.  Auset Kheru finished 4th in the 200m and 5th in the discus. Breana Jones finished 5th in the 400m, while Jenny Vasquez finished 6th in the 800m.  Karolina Styrczula finished 5th in the 100m.  The athletes in the relay teams really shined as all relays scored.  The 4x200m relay team of Karolina Styrczula, Alex Malmborg, Auset Kheru, and Sylvia Kozielski finished 2nd place.  The 3200m relay team of Paulina Marusarz, Jenny Vasquez, Isabella Borzecki, and Adriana Prichina finished 3rd.  The 4x400m relay team of Karolina Styrczula, Jenny Vasquez, Breana Jones, and Sylvia Kozielski finished 3rd.  The 4x100m relay team of Karolina Styrczula, Cici Galvan, Jenna Rapp, and Alex Malmborg finished 5th.  The frosh soph team finished 4th overall.  Yazmin Urteaga-Rios finished 2nd in the shot put and 4th in the discus.  Aneta Gal finished 5th in the shot put and 5th in the discus.  Jennah Carlson finished 4th in the 3200m.  Selena Negron finished 5th in the 100m hurdles and 5th in the 300m hurdles.  Joy Magana finished 5th in the 400m.  Rachael Quiroz, Abi Monarrez, Yazmin Urteaga-Rios, Joy Magana, Carolina Liszka, Nat Moreno, Angelica Ortiz, and Lupe Diaz all contributed in the frosh/soph relays.  Great job Lady Rams for an outstanding Conference experience.
