Another great night for the Rams! Varsity got SECOND place overall at the SSC Red Conference meet at Shepard High School beating out rival Oak Lawn by TWO points. FOUR All Conference atheltes! Sylvia Kozielski (1st in the long jump and 1st in the triple jump); Aleks Kamienska (1st in the shot put); Aneta Stoch (1st in the 300m hurdles). What an incredible amount of All-Conference athletes! Sylvia Kozielski also BROKE the school record for the triple jump, as she jumped 32'10.5". Just an amazing accomplishment for this senior! Sylvia also took 2nd in the 100m and 4th in the 200m. Yasmin Urteaga-Rios finished 2nd in the discus. Aleks Kamienska also finished 3rd in the discus. Auset Kheru had a big night as she finished 2nd in the 400m, 2nd in the high jump, and 2nd in the shot put. Esmeralda Flores finished 4th in the 800m and 6th in the 1600m. Christine Trovato finished 4th in the 3200m. Tara Rojas finished 2nd in the 100m hurdles, while Jenna Rapp finished 3rd in the 100m hurdles and 6th in the 300m hurdles. The 4x400m relay team of Jenna Rapp, Karolina Styrczula, Mariah Carmona, and Auset Kheru finished 2nd. The Frosh Soph team finished 3rd place overall for the team score. Scorers for the Frosh Soph were Aneta Gal (1st-shot put), Anna Babicz (1st-discus, 4th-shot put, 4th-high jump and 4th in the shot put), Shahd Abukhalil (4th-400m), Jennnifer Ramirez (4h-800), Tifany Ramirez (6th-1600m and 3rd-3200m), Carmen Villarreal (6th-3200m), Selena Negron (3rd-100m hurdles, 6th-long jump, 6th-triple jump), Bailey Sullivan (3rd-triple jump), Trine Gomez (5th-100m hurdles and 5th-300m hurdles), and Annette Chraca (3rd-high jump). The 3200m relay team of Jennifer Ramirez, Val Hernandez, Victoria Behling, and Tere Temko finished 2nd.
