Junior Auset Kheru battled through nerves, cold, and rain at her first appearance at the IHSA State Track and Field meet held at EIU in Charleston, IL. She won both the shot put and the discus at the Lyons Township Sectionals meet the previous week, earning her the All-Sectional title and representing The Rams at EIU. Although the nerves got the best of her in the shot put, she battled the elements and moved up 7 spots from her rankings in the discus. She finished 24th overall in the state of Illinois in the discus. What an accomplishment! And she will be back next year.
