2020 Track Season previews....

Burbank, IL
February 10th, is our starting day. Coach Schoenfeld is looking forward to a great 2020 season full of surprises and excitement. I little preview of what is anticipated... Team goals: I expect some great performances at our Invites. The success has been building up, I think we are ready to really shine as a WHOLE team. We finished 4th at the varsity level and 2nd at the frosh/sooh level...I anticipate a top 2 finish at conference at the varsity level. I think we can have double the All Conference athletes as last year. Watch out for Johnna Baniewicz as she steps up in the distance races and adds excitement to our relay teams. Nadia Roberts is on her way to jump crazy style in the high jump and do the job in the middle distance races. Madison Simpson is going to be the one to watch again in the shot put. Jersey Panock will do her job in the discus and the shot put. Both can make it to state again this season for sure. Karolina Stachon is the jumping queen, as I anticipate great success in the high jump, triple jump, and long jump. Could she even break her own Reavis record again? Michele Gal will step up her game in the mid distance races and 300m hurdles. Expect domination in the 3200m with Ashley Rueda and Anna Tumiel. Diane Ramirez and Shareen Abukhalil will have their eyes set on the 400m, as they will step up their game at the Varsity level, along with helping in the mid distance relays. Ryhane Saadi will also help in the mid distance events. Patricia Jarzabek will sprint her way to success at the Varsity level, along with contributing in the jumps and relays. Corrin Smith has found a rhythm in the mid distance events and should be ready to step it up huge in the relays and hurdles. Keylin Vellejo is going to continue her spinting domination this season, along with Yasmine Rios. There are also many hidden gems who I anticipate will step up their game this season. Nadia Alpuche, Natalia Chowaniec, Natalia Carrion, Daria Ziomek, Angelisse Tellez, Paige Stefanek, Cheyenne Kernats, Alyssa Carrillo, ... WATCH for these athletes to step it up. And not to mention, there have been MANY great new athletes who have been coming to preseason whom I cannot wait to see what they will do on the track and the field. It is going to be an exciting year for the Track and Field Rams. I just hope Burbank is ready for them. See you out there.
