(September 15, 2018). The Running Rams continue their success as they finish 4th place in the Varsity and Frosh/Soph races out of 18 teams at the Argo Invite. Alyssa Froylan once again led the squad with a top 25 finish. Joclyn Ordonez, Michele Gal, Johnna Baniewicz, and Haley Garza rounded out the Ram scorers. Ale Rodriguez and Corrin Smith were the pushers of the meet. Ashley Rueda led the way for the Frosh/Soph team, while Nadia Alpuche, Alyssa Carrillo, Aylin Rojas, Anna Tumiel, Cordy Gulzynski, and Daria Ziomek all contributed to a great F/S race.
Cross Country Girls
(September 11, 2018). Rams competed well at Lemont quad. They did lose to Lemont, but beat Tinley Park and TF South. Alyssa Froylan was the top Ram finisher with Johnna Baniewicz, Michele Gal, Joclyn Ordonez, Haley Garza, Corrin Smith, and Ale Rodriguez all contributing well. Coach Schoenfeld stated "We used this quad as a "workout" meet where I forced the Rams to pack in groups of 7-8 throughout the first two miles. I believe the Rams learned a little about the concept of packing." As cross country coaches know, if a squad can pack--a squad will learn how to succeed.
(September 8, 2018). The Reavis Running Ram Invite was very successful as the Varsity finish 4th and the Frosh/Soph finish 7th out of 24 teams. Alyssa Froylan took control of the race for the Varsity Rams finishing in the top 20 overall and first for the Rams. Johnna Baniewicz, Joclyn Ordonez, Corrin Smith, and Haley Garza rounded out the top Ram scorers (all within the top 50 overall). Tera Temko and Ale Rodriguez were the Ram pushers.
(Sept 4, 2018). The Rams opened their season with victories over St Laurence, De La Salle, and Kennedy. Johnna Baniewicz led the way with a first place finish. Joclyn Ordonez, Alyssa Froylan, Corrin Smith, and Tera Temko were the scorers, while Mina Baniewicz and Haley Garza battle the field as pushers. Great start to the season.
