Reavis Edged By Oak Forest

Oak Forest, IL (January 13, 2012) -

Reavis Rams (5-12, 1-6) traveled to Oak Forest for a Friday night SSC crossover game. The Rams started out slow, only scoring 3 in the first quarter, but after that things changed. Reavis started inching back point by point, but fell short, 39-52.

Leading all scorers was Stephanie Verduzco with 18 points/6 rebounds. Teammates Nat Skolarus (9 pts./2 steals), Chanel Koepke (5 pts.), Yasmine Ballout (4 pts./2 steals/ 2 assists), and Hannah Howard (3 pts.) all added to the scoring for the Rams.

Rams Drop SSC Game to Lemont

#000000">Varsity Rams (5-11, 1-5) could not pull off a program sweep against Lemont and lost 29-46. Only three Rams scored on the night. Reavis was led by Nat Skolarus (10 pts./2 assists), Stephanie Verduzco (9 pts./6 rebs.), and Donna Mierwa (8 pts./8 rebs.).

Reavis Stopped by Tinley Park

Burbank, IL (January 5, 2012) -

Reavis (5-10, 1-4) dropped to the visiting Tinley Park Titans, 41-59. Despite a 20 point/15 rebound effort by Stephanie Verduzco, the Rams could not overcome the Titans. Nat Skolarus had 8 points/6 rebounds and Yasmine Ballout had 6 points for the Rams.

"Tinley was physical and ready to go, but we were not. It's tough to come out with a win, when you start out flat" said Coach Miskowicz.

Verduzco Named to Riverside-Brookfield All-Tournament Team

Riverside, IL (December 30, 2011) -

Stephanie Verduzco was named to the Riverside-Brookfield Invite's All-Tournament team. The sophomore averaged 8.0 PPG and 9.1 RPG in the tournament, having her best game against Riverside-Brookfield scoring 15 points and grabbing 18 rebounds.

Reavis Falls to McHenry in the Last Day at Riverside-Brookfield

Riverside, IL (December 30, 2011) -

Reavis (5-9, 1-3) finished up the Riverside-Brookfield Invite playing for 3rd Place, but came up short against McHenry, 45-59. The Rams were 1-2 in Pool Play, but won the three-way tie against Argo and Lane Tech with their free-throw percentage putting them into the 3rd place game against McHenry.

Rams Come Out on Top Against Lane Tech

Riverside, IL(December 29, 2011) -

Reavis (5-8, 1-3) entered the third day of the Riverside-Brookfield Invite down two games. Reavis came ready to play, but so did Lane Tech. Both teams battled back and forth, but the Rams prevailed in the end, 38-35. Leading the way for the Rams was senior, Nat Skolarus (15 points, 5 rebounds), junior Donna Mierwa with 8 points 4 rebounds, 2 charges, and sophomore Stephanie Verduzco with 7 points, 5 rebounds.
