Reavis Rams finish 2nd overall at their home spring break quad, while F/S finish 1st overall. Top F/S Rams were Gomez, Marquez, Abukhalil, Dominguez, Simpson, Babicz, Panock, Patel. Great performance Rams.
The Varsity Rams finish 2nd place overall at the Andrew Invite12 teams. Aneta Stoch was 3rd in the 100m hurdles and 4th in the 300m hurdles; Christine Trovato was 5th in the 3200m; Karolina Styrczula was 1st in the 800m; Auset Kheru was 1st in the discus, 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the shot put, and 2nd in the 400m; Yaz Urteaga was 3rd in the discus. The 4x400m relay team of Rapp, Styrczula, Stoch, Jones finished 2nd overall. Frosh Soph finished 6th place overall as a team.
Reavis dominated over Richards, Hill Crest, and TF North. Reavis did a great job in the relays winning the 4x800m (Styczyla, Trovato, J Baniewicz, Flores), 4x100m (Jones, Ordonez, Gomez, Cruz), and 4x400m relay (Kheru, Styrczula, Cruz, J Baniewicz/Ordonez).
Reavis finished in a close 2nd place overall team wise with Lemont winning out of four teams, including Oak Forest and Eisenhower. Top 3 placers: Trovato (3rd-3200m), Gomez (3rd-100m hurdles), Styrczula (1-400m, 2nd-long jump), J Baniewicz (3rd-400m), Kheru (1st-200m, 1st-shot put, 1st-discus, 2nd-high jump), Rios (2nd-discus), Babicz (3rd-discus), Patel (1st-triple jump), Malmborg (2nd-triple jump). Great showing RAMS.
The Reavis Rams faired well at the Stagg Invite, finishing 9th overall out of 18 teams. Jenna Rapp finished 4th in the 100m hurdles, Nadia Roberts finished 6th in the 300m hurdles, Auset Kheru finished 3rd in the shot put and won the discus. The 4x400m relay team of Johnna Baniewicz, Jocyln Ordonez, Shahd Abukhalil, and Karolina Styrczula really stepped it up and finished 4th place overall. Lots of personal bests in the races and events. Way to step it up frosh/soph!
(March 21, 2017) The Rams ended their indoor season in style at Romeoville. Christine Trovato (1st-3200m, 2nd-1600m), Karolna Styrczula (1st-800m, 4th-long jump), Auset Kheru (1st-400m, 1st-high jump, 2nd-shot put), Jenna Rapp (2nd-55m hurdles), Aneta Stoch (4th-55m hurdles), Thais Cruz (3rd-400m), Esmeralda Flores (4th-1600m), Bailey Sullivan (4th-triple jump), and Bre Jones (4th-200m) all contributed to the Rams scoring, making it close with scoring with Romeoville and Argo.
The girls track team did well at the SSC Indoor meet at Argo Friday night. The team finished 3rd overall out of our SSC Red conference teams. Auset Kheru dominated her events by finishing 1st in the shot put, 1st in the high jump, 1st in the 400m. Karolina Styrczula finished 1st in the 800m. The 4x400m relay team of Auset Kheru, Jenna Rapp, Karolina Styrczula, and Thais Cruz also finished 1st.
(March 11, 2017) The Rams finished 5th overall at the 10 team Morton Indoor Invitational. Auset Kheru dominated the high jump, finishing 1st with a 5-0 jump, while finishing 3rd in the shot put. Jenna Rapp finished 4th in the 55m hurdles. Karolina Styrczula finished 5th in the 800m, while Thais Cruz finished 5th in the 400m. Ali Malmborg finished 4th in the high jump. The 4x400m relay team of Auset Kheru, Jenna Rapp, Thais Cruz, and Karolina Styrczula finished 4th.
(March 4, 2017) Reavis added an earlyindoor meet at Argo this year to better prepare them for a successful season. The girls faired well against teams who have had 3-4 indoor meets already. Auset Kheru placed in the high jump (5th) and the 400m (4th). The 4x400m relay looked promising, while the 4x160m relay rocked the handoffs. The hurdlers impressed, the throwers looked ready, the sprinters looked fast, and the distance kids looked focused. It is going to be a great season!
