The Varsity Wrestling team competed in their annual South Suburban Conference tournament over the weekend. The Rams brought ten wrestlers and placed 6th overall. The Rams again showed great effort and had four individual's earn all conference, with two other placers.
The varsity wrestling team competed in the Illini Classic Invitational hosted by Lincoln Way East this past weekend. The Illini Classic is regarded as one of the premier tournaments in the state. The Rams had three individuals reach the podium, Kevin McDonald (106) placed 6th, Jimmy McAuliffe (132) placed 3rd, and Jakub Kacki (285) placed 6th. The Rams wrestled tough against top tier competition. They will have a long week to prepare for the South Suburban Conference Tournament on Saturday 1/24/15.
The varsity wrestling team competed in a conference quad last night, taking on TFN, Oak Lawn, and Argo H.S. The Rams wrestled tough defeating T.F.N. 54-19, Oak Lawn 43-27, but fell to a tough Argo team 42-24. Standouts for the Rams included Kevin McDonald, Yazen Almousa, Jimmy McAuliffe, and Suleiman Qwasini; all four wrestlers were undefeated on the night. The rams are now (15-6) (10-1) and will compete in the tough two day Illini Classic at Lincoln Way East over the weekend.
This past Saturday the varsity wrestling team competed in the Chris Chappell Invitational, hosted by Glenbard West.
The Rams got back to competitive wrestling today after a ten day lay-off. The Rams split the triangular defeating L.W.N. 36-28 & losing to H.F. 33-25. The Rams season recorded now stands at (13-5). Standouts for the Rams included Kevin McDonald (106), Jimmy McAuliffe (132), Drew Moscato (138), Emilo Miranda (160), & Teddy Piwnicki (182). The Rams will host Oak Forest & Evergreen Park on Thursday for their annual senior night.
The Rams dueled Andrew H.S. on Christmas Eve-Eve and came out victorious 51-21. The Rams were led by Cody Dybalski (120), Yazen Almousa (126), Jimmy McAuiliffe (138), Drew Moscato (145),& Suleiman Qwasini (195). The Rams will compete against each other tomorrow morning in their annual Bi-Athlon! The Rams are now (12-4).
The varsity wrestling team battled through adversity last night, and continued its winning ways as they defeated Hillcrest 63-17 & Shepard H.S.
The varsity wrestling team traveled North this past Saturday, to compete in their annual Niles West Quad. The Rams had a good showing going 1-2. The Rams defeated Niles West 48-29 but lost to Rolling Meadows & Mundelein H.S. in a very competitive dual. Three match winners included Kevin McDonald (113), Jimmy McAuliffe (132), and Jakub Kacki (285). The Rams will get back to conference action this Thursday when they take on Shepard and Hillcrest.
The Varsity Wrestling team traveled to Bremen H.S. to take on Richards, T.F.S., & Bremen. The Rams emerged victorious over all three opponents, improving their record to (8-2) (6-0). The Rams defeated T.F.S. 42-10, Richards 42-3, & Bremen 24-21. The Rams were lead by Kevin McDonald, Rene Sanchez, Yaya Almousa, Jimmy McAuliffe, Suleiman Qwasini, & Jakub Kacki. The Rams have gotten off to a great start but still have work to do! They will travel to Niles West Saturday to compete in their annual quad against Mundelein, Rolling Meadows, and Niles West.
The varsity wrestling team competed in the 12 team Dave Anderson Invitational, hosted by Stagg H.S. this past Saturday. The Rams were down a couple of starters on Saturday but still managed to place 4th overall. Leading the way for the Rams was Jr. Kevin McDonald (106), Jr. Rene Sanchez (120), So. Jimmy McAuliffe (132), and Jr. Jakub Kacki (285). All four of these individuals stood atop the podium as tournament champions. The Rams were a perfect 4-0 in the championship matches. Sr.
