Girls Track and Field compete amazing at SSC Red Conference...earning 2nd place overall

Palos Heights, IL  (May 7, 2015).  What an amazing night for the Reavis Girls Track and Field team.  The Rams finished an unexpected 2nd place overall team finish at the SSC Conference meet Thursday at Shepard, outscoring Oak Lawn by only TWO points.  It was a night to remember, as the Rams worked as a team and laid it all on the track!  Sophomore Aleks Kamienska had an amazing night as she placed 1st overall in the shot put, giving her All-Conference honors.  Aleks also finished 3rd in the discus.  Sylvia Kozielski finished 2nd in the 100m and 4th in the triple jump.  Step

Girls Track split with Oak Lawn and Argo.

April 28, 2015.  (Oak Lawn, IL).  At Oak Lawn Tuesday, the Rams beat Argo at the Varsity level, but lost to Oak Lawn in a hard fought battle.  Senior Stephanie Majewski had a solid night as she won the 3200m and finished 3rd in the 1600m.  Tara Rojas won the 100m hurdles and finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles.  Sylvia Kozielski won the long jump and the triple jump.  Aleks Kamienska threw a 2nd in the shot put, while Julie Iazzetto threw a 3rd in the discus.  Ali Malmborg jumped to a 2nd place in the triple jump.  Nicole Bochenski jumped to a 3rd place in the high jump.  Yuli

Reavis Alum making it BIG in college athletics

Lisle, IL  (April 24, 2015).  Sabina Bukowska (Illinois Benedictine University), Nicole Maier (Olivet Nazarene University), Hannah Howard (North Central University), and Paulina Gal (Loyola University) got to compete at Illinois Benedictive University Friday night.  Sabina ran the 3000m steeple chase and 1500m, Nicole was scheduled to run the 3000m, Hannah Howard ran the 800m and was scheduled to run the 3000m, and Paulina competed in the discus, shot put, hammer throw, and the javelin.  "It was an honor to get the opportunity to watch these four amazing Reavis Alum compete

Rams celebrate Senior Night with two wins

Burbank, IL  (April 22, 2015).  Once again the Lady Rams competed well at their home triangle meet against Bremen and Evergreen Park as they beat both schools.  The Rams also celebrated the Senior Rams.  Varsity Ram scorers:  Stephanie Majewski was 1st in the 3200m and 1600m; Tara Rojas was 1st in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles; Sylvia Kozielski was 1st in the 100m and 1st in the triple jump; Aleks Kamienska was 1st in the discus and 2nd in the shot put; Yuliana Olivares was 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 1600m; Auset Kheru was 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put;L

Argo Invite tough, but successful for the Rams

Summt, IL  (April 16, 2015).  Against some tough state bound teams, the Reavis Rams finished 5th place out of 10 teams Saturday at the Argo Invite.  Sophomore Auset Kheru had a great day as she finished 2nd in the discus, 6th in her debut of the 200m, and had a hand in the 4th place 4x200m relay team.  Alex Malmborg, Sylvia Kozielski, and Jenna Rapp also contributed big to the 4x200m relay.  Sylvia Kozielski also ran to a 3rd place in the 100 m.  Aleks Kamienska threw a 3rd place in the shot put, while finishing 4th place in the discus.  Stephanie Majewski also had a great

Girls Track win quad at Tinley Park

TInley Park, IL (April 14, 2015).  The Varstiy Rams improve their record to 5 wins and 1 loss as they beat Tinley Park, TFS, and Shepard Tuesday.  Stephanie Majewski, Yuliana Olivares, and Paulina Marusarz swept the 3200m.  Stephanie Majewski also won the 1600m, while Yuliana Olivares was 3rd.  The 4x800m relay team of Alex Malmborg, CiCi Galvan, Auset Kheru, and Sylvia Kozielski got 2nd.  Sylvia Kozielski got 3rd in the long jump and the triple jump.  Alex Kamienska won the shot put and 3rd in the discus, while Auset Kheru got 2nd in the discus.  Nicole Bochenski got 3rd

Kamienska takes control at Stagg Invite

Palos Hills, IL.  (March 4, 2015)  Sophomore Aleks Kamienska did a great job at the Stagg Invite.  Aleks WON the shot put with a put of over 35 feet, 4 inches.  She also threw a 6th place discus throw for the Rams.  Great job to Aneta Stoch who ran a personal best in the 300 m hurdles and Jenna Rapp who ran a personal best in the 100m hurdles.  Bre Jones, Stephanie Majewski, Paulina Marusarz, and Sylvia Kozielski also ran personal bests.

And They're Off--First Outdoor Meet for Girls Track and Field

Oak Forst, IL  (March 31, 2015).  The girls track and field team started off their outdoor season with two wins against Eisenhower and Oak Forest, but a loss to Lemont.  Aleks Kaminska won the shot put, while Auset Kheru won the discus.  Other scorers in the meet were Sylvia Kozielski (2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the long jump), Alex Malmborg (3rd in the triple jump), Julie Iazzetto (3rd in the discus), Tara Rojas (2nd in the 100m hurdles and in the 300m hurdles), Nicole Bochenski (3rd in the 100m hurdles and in the 300m hurdles), Jenny Vasquez (2nd in the 800m), Ka

Last indoor meet for the girls track and field team

Romeoville, IL  (March 24, 2015).  At Romeoville, the girls had some tough competition from two teams that have indoor tracks, but the Rams battled well. Senior Stephanie Majewski finished 1st in the 3200m run and 2nd in the 1600m run, while Akeks Kamienska finished 1st in the shot put. Auset Kheru finished 2nd in the high jump, Breana Jones finished 2nd in the 400m, and Tara Rojas finished 2nd in the 55m hurdles. The 4x160 relay team of CiCi Galvan, Alex Malmborg, Auset Kheru, and Sylvia Kozielski finished 2nd beating Argo once again.
