Parent Night

PARENT NIGHT:  We will be hosting our 1st annual parent night for the track and field program on March 7, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater.  Parent Teacher conferences take place the same night from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  We sincerely hope that all athletes and their parents are able to attend. 

Topics for this meeting will include:

SEASON BEGINS FEBRUARY 27th

Burbank, IL.  The season begins February 27th.  We will meet at the patio at 3:15.  Please have running shoes, indoor clothes and outdoor clothes, and water for practices.  Please make sure that you have a current physical on file.  If you need a physical, please get a form from the Athletics office NOW!  Any questions, see Coach Schoenfeld in room 106.     

Pre-Season Begins

Burbank, IL (1-23-12).  Pre-Season begins January 24th.  We will go every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15 until 4:00.  We will meet at the patio.  Bring clothes for indoor and outdoor.  The season starts February 27th!
Prepare NOW for a postive experience in track and field.  Last season:  Back-to-back Frosh/Soph Conference Championships and Sportsmanship award.  This season:  IT IS UP TO YOU!  Any questions see Coach Schoenfeld in room 106.  Coach Moran, Coach Glynn, Coach Johnson, Coach Kreil, and Coach Schoenfeld will rotate pre-season duties.

Yari Lopez's discus FLIES to new heights, while 3 frosh/soph SHINE at Sectionals

Bolingbrook, IL (May 13, 2011) Sectionals at Bolingbrook was full of surprises for the Reavis Rams.  Rain and cold weather were again factors for the athletes.  This was also one of the toughest Sectionals for Class III, but that did not stop many younger Rams from performing great.  Freshman Stephanie Verduzco threw herself into the finals for the shot put, and  ended up with an 8th place overall finish.  Stephanie also finished in the top 12 in the discus.  Senior Yari Lopez ended up losing a discus WAY out of the sector, but managed to come back and finish in the top 10

Frosh/Soph Champs, Sportsmanship Award

Blue Island, IL (May 5, 2011).  It was a great conference meet for the Reavis Rams.  THE FROSH SOPH GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD TEAM EARNS BACK TO BACK CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP.  Also, the Girls Track and Field team earns the SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD for SSC Red Division.  Numerous Frosh/Soph medal winners and Varsity medal winners were achieved last night, on top of heavy downpour and a "lights out" Varsity 4x400m relay to end the meet.  For the Varsity, Stephanie Verduzco earned a 3rd place in the shot put.  The Varsity 4x800m relay team of Hannah Howard, Sam Wolfe, Erica Seno, and K

49th annual Reavis Relays great success!

(Burbank, IL) April 29, 2011.  The Reavis Relays proved to be a great meet.  The Varsity girls finished 4th out of 9 teams, which were dominated by Frosh/Soph.  A lot of Junior and Senior athletes were attending Prom (only 4 junior and senior athletes competed Friday), so we the Rams had to count on the frosh/soph, and they did not let Reavis High down.  The shot put relay of Erika Fastwolf, Danielle Doyle, and Kassie Brown finished an impressive 2nd place.  The discus relay team of Erika Fastwolf, Danielle Doyle, and Selena Carillo finished an awesome 2nd place as well.  T

49th annual REAVIS RELAYS this Friday April 29th

Join us at the track this Friday April 29th starting at 4:30 for the 49th annual Reavis Relays.  Varsity Girls and Frosh Soph Boys will be competing in a very spectator friendly track meet.  If you are alumni of Reavis, especially the track and field program, stop up at the press box to give us your information so that you can be announced as a VIP guest at the meet.  Head Girls Coach Laurie Schoenfeld and Head Boys Coach Matt Moran would love to see you.

Bremen Invite

Midlothian, IL (April 23, 2011)  Frosh Soph sprinters/jumpers did a great job at the Bremen Invite Saturday.    Freshman Stephanie Verduzco placed 5th in the shot put.  The 4x800m relay team of Karolina Komperda, Erica Seno, Sam Wolfe, and Hannah Howard ran another personal best relay race, and finished 5th overall.  Nicole Maier finished 5th overall in the 3200m.  Kelley Grzych finished 5th in the 100m hurdles and 4th in the high jump.  For the frosh/soph, Jessica Alexander, Paulina Gal, Maggie Tysler, Sam Christianson, and Ashlie Wiechec all did well in t

Weathered through Lemont Invite

Lemont, IL (April 15, 2011)  Freshman Stephanie Verduzco and Senior Yari Lopez lead the team in overall points at the Lemont Invite.  They batled the tough competition and the tough weather elements Friday night.  In the shot put, Stephanie Verduzco finished first in the shot put and Yari Lopez finished 2nd in the shot put.  Then they came back to compete in the discus.  Yari finished 2nd place and Stephanie finished 6th.  It was an awesome display.  Coach Laurie Schoenfeld comments on the two, "Coach Kreil has done a great job with the throwers this season.  Stephanie is j
