Rams running on all cylinders in win over EP

Burbank, IL (May 10, 2011) - Reavis improved its conference record to 10-5 with a good all-around performance in its 10-0 victory over Evergreen Park this afternoon.  The offense pounded out 12 hits, the defense played flawlessly, and Rob Rabakozi dominated on the mound.

"We played really well in all three facets of the game," said Coach Erickson.  "This was one of the best efforts I&;ve seen from our kids this year.   Hopefully, we are peaking at the right time."

Rams celebrate Senior Day

Burbank, IL (May 9, 2011) - The Reavis baseball program held its annual Senior Day this past Saturday before the double header against Andrean, IN .  Each of the seniors were honored on the field prior to the varsity game and their mothers were recognized after the varsity game.

The Rams (12-11) lost to the 59er&;s 13-0 in the first game and fell 6-1 in the JV game.

Rabakozi, Rams power past Mustangs

Evergreen Park, IL (May 6, 2011) - Rob Rabakozi&;s great day at the plate helped the Rams (12-10; 9-5) beat Evergreen Park 8-4 this afternoon.  The senior catcher went 3 for 4 with a double, home run, and three RBI.  The homer, a solo shot in the top of the sixth inning, was Rob&;s first of the season and the 100th hit of his varsity high school career.

Sliwinski propels Rams in 14-4 win

Burbank, IL (May 6, 2011) - The Rams beat Hillcrest yesterday 14-4 and move into a second-place tie with Oak Lawn in the SSC Red 

Offensively, Reavis was lead by Mike Sliwinski, who smashed a double into the left-center gap that scored two runners.  Pitchers Brandon Hines and Alex Lutvi combined to allow one earned run on one hit.

Today, Reavis (11-10; 8-5) travels to Evergreen Park to play the Mustangs.

Rams lose in extra innings to Spartans

Oak Lawn, IL (May 5, 2011) - The Rams lost to Oak Lawn yesterday 9-8 in 9 innings.  The game, which began on Tuesday, was suspended after seven innings of play with the score 8-8.

Reavis took an early 6-0 lead, but defensive miscues allowed the Spartans back in the game.  The loss drops the Rams (10-10; 7-5) into third place in the SSC Red, a half game behind Oak Lawn and one game behind Richards.

Today, Reavis takes on Hillcrest at Czarnecki Field.

Reavis remembers Robert

Burbank, IL (May 2, 2011) - In today&;s baseball game against Oak Lawn, the varsity Rams honored their former teammate, Robert Regalado, by wearing his t-shirt.  On April 30, 2009, Robert, who played on the sophomore team, passed away from a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
