Rams begin spring trip in Cincinnati/Nashville

Memphis, TN (April 12, 2102) - The baseball team began their spring break trip by attending a Reds/Cardinals game at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH on Wednesday, April 11.  The following day, they were given a guided tour of the athletic complex at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.  According to Coach Morack the tour of the state-of-the-art complex was "the highlight of the trip so far!"

Reavis drops first game in Memphis

Memphis, TN (April 12, 2012) - Bartlett High School, TN beat the Rams 4-1 in the opening game of the Memphis Baseball Tournament on Thursday evening .  Reavis (5-10) fell behind 2-0 in the third inning when senior right-hander Anthony Doory allowed back-to-back triples to Chapman and Chivito, followed by an RBI single from Elliot. 

Lemont blanks the Rams

Lemont, IL (April 10, 2012) - A duo of Lemont left-handers combined to one-hit the Rams on Tuesday afternoon in Lemont.  Reavis lost 10-0 in six innings.  It is their third straight defeat over the break.  They lost to TF South on Thursday and Andrew on Saturday.

The Rams will try to turn it around on Thursday when they begin play in Memphis, TN.  Check out the website for updates on the trip.

Baseball team preparing for Spring trip

Burbank, IL (April 5, 2012) - As Spring Break begins for the Reavis student body on Friday, April 6 , the varsity baseball squad is gearing up for its trip to Memphis, TN.  The team leaves on Wednesday morning, April 10, and make a stop in Cincinnati to attend a baseball game between the Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals at The Great American Ballpark.

After the game, they will travel to Nashville where they will spend the night.  While in Nashville, the team plans to see a Vanderbilt University baseball game. 

Baseball sweeps Argo in a big way

Burbank, IL (April 4, 2012) - The Rams (5-6; 3-0) slugged out 12 hits in their 15-1 victory over Argo on Tuesday at Czarnecki Field.  The offense exploded for ten runs in the first inning on RBI doubles by both Dan Meskill (2 for 3; 2B; 2 RBI) and Leo Hernandez (2 for 3; 2B; RBI) and a bases-clearing triple from David Beltran (3 for 3; 3B; 4 RBI).

Reavis comes from behind to beat Argo 6-4

Summit, IL (April 2, 2012) - The Rams improved their SSC record to 2-0 on the season with a come-from-behind victory over the Argonauts on Monday.

Senior pitchers Zack Mackowiak and Argo&;s Ashley blanked the offenses through the first three innings.  The Argonauts struck first in the bottom of the fourth inning, however, when Krob hit a two-run home run over the left field wall off Mackowiak to give Argo a 2-0 lead.

Rams win SSC opener

Tinley Park, IL (March 29, 2012) - The Rams (3-5; 1-0) scored eight runs in the first two innings and held on to beat Tinley Park 8-5 in the first conference game of the season. 
Reavis plated three runs in the top of the first inning when David Beltran (2 for 3; 2 2B; 3 RBI) doubled home Matt Javorski and Mike Lally.  Later in the inning, Jake Stano&;s sacrifice fly scored Velez.

St. Rita wins Battle of 77th Street game

Chicago, IL (March 28, 2012) - St. Rita defeated Reavis 9-1 on Wednesday in the 14th Annual Bronze Glove Classic- Battle of 77th Street rivalry game. The Mustangs rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.

Junior pitcher Dan Meskill pitched well in the loss, allowing three runs on three hits over 3.1 innings pitched.  Offensively, the Rams collected seven hits on the day, including two each by Jake Stano and Mike Lally.
