Rams Win Opener in Dramatic Fashion

Burbank, IL (March 23, 2013) - Reavis scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Riverside Brookfield 5-4 Saturday on a cold and wet Czarnecki Field.  The one out rally started with singles by Dan Meskill and Joe O'Hara.  Matt Barajas then loaded the bases when he was hit by a pitch.  With two strikes on him, Jose Romero lined a hit to right field that plated Meskill.  One batter later, the Rams tied the game on John Deir's RBI walk.  Leo Hernandez then hit a grounder to the RB third baseman whose throw sailed wide of home allowing Barajas to score the ga

Snow Day!

Burbank, IL (March 9, 2013) - The Reavis Varsity baseball team spent the second half of their practice Saturday clearing the snow off Czarnecki Field in preparation for Opening Day.  The Rams will begin the 2013 season at home on Thursday when they take on the Thunderbirds of Thornwood High School.

Velez signs with Rock Valley

Burbank, IL (March 4, 2013) - The Reavis athletic department is pleased to announce that Richie Velez has signed to play baseball next year at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois.
Rock Valley head coach Kevin Vest travelled to Burbank Saturday morning and inked the deal with the senior infielder before the Rams' practice.  "I watched Richie play in the Area Code games this summer," said Coach Vest, "and I really like what I saw.  He is a no-nonsense type of kid who is very respectful and we think he will fit in nicely with our program."

Rams win another nail-biter

Burbank, IL (May 11, 2012) - The Rams kept their conference title hopes alive on Thursday with a 2-1 extra-inning victory over T.F. North .  Reavis (14-16; 10-5) collected three of their four total hits in the eighth inning, including a walk-off RBI single off the bat of junior Richie Velez.

Rams break even over the week-end

Burbank, IL (May 7, 2012) - The baseball team went 1-1 over the rain-soaked week-end.  On Friday, they defeated Hillcrest 19-1 to move their conference record to 8-5 on the season.  Offensively, Leo Hernandez (3 for 3; 2B; 3 RBI), Tom Pindelski (2 for 3; 2B; RBI), Richie Velez (2 for 2; 2B; 2 RBI), and Trevor Kasprowicz (1 for 3; RBI) led the way.

Reavis travelled to Vernon Hills on Saturday and lost to the Cougars 8-2 in the varsity contest.
