Girls Track and Field are 8-0 in Tuesday meets

Evergreen Park, IL  (April 22, 2014).  The girls once again on Tuesday beat out their competition and improved their Tuesday meet status to 8-0 at the Varsity level.  The girls are really working hard to prepare for their Conference meet and are looking just superb out there.  Paulina Gal recently broke her own 300m hurdles record, and followed that up with breaking the Reavis school record in the discus throw.  The original record was 125 feet 0 inches set by Yorkshat in 1973.  Paulina threw the discus 132 feet and 1 inch.  She SHATTERED that age old record.  She also won

6th place team finish at battle at Argo Invite

Tough battle at Andrew Invite

Tinley Park, IL  (April 12, 2014).  The Varsity girls finished 6th out of 12 teams Saturday at the Andrew Invite.  Paulina Gal finished 1st in the shot put, 1st in the discus, 1st in the 300m hurdles, and 3rd in the 800m.  Mackenzie Mellenthin finished 3rd in the discus.  Sylvia Kozielski finished 5th in the long jump.  Amanda Kass finished 6th in the 100m hurdles.  The frosh/soph team finished 6th out of 12 teams as well.  Aleks Kamienska finished 2nd in the shot p

Girls Track improve their record to 6-0

Oak Lawn, IL  (April 8, 2014).  The Varsity girls are now 6-0 after Tuesday’s meet at Richards with TFN and Eisenhower.  Sylvia Kozielski had a big day, finishing 1st in the 100m, 2nd in the long jump, and 2nd in the triple jump.  The 3200m run was dominated by a 1st – 4th finish from Stephanie Majewski, Laura Monsreal, Sabina Bukowska, and Yoyo Olivares.  The discus was dominated by a 1st – 3rd finish from Mackenzie Mellenthin, Paulina Gal, and Julie Iazzetto.  The 1600m was dominated by a 1s

Gal breaks three records at Stagg Invite

Palos Heights, IL  (April 5, 2014).  At the Stagg Invite Saturday, the Varsity team finished 5th place out of 15 teams.  Senior Paulina Gal won the shot put (with a new meet record throw) and won the discus (with a new meet record throw).  She also finished 2nd in the 800m.  Most importantly, Paulina broke the Reavis school record in the 300m hurdle (:48.3) race with a time of :48.17, which placed her 3rd overall.  Coach Schoenfeld commented, "Paulina does what she does with such a raw talent and she always competes to win!  She is breaking records left and right...and she

Reavis opener a SUCCESS...beating Lemont, Eisenhower, and Tinley Park

Blue Island, IL  (April 1, 2014).  The Rams had a successful start of their outdoor season.  We battled the elements and beat out Lemont, Eisenhower, and Tinley Park last Tuesday in our first Quad meet.  Paulina Gal won all four of her events (shot put, discus, 800m, and 300m hurdles).  The 4x800m relay team of Sabina Bukowska, Susu Almousa, Jenny Vasquez, and Paulina Marusarz also won.  Sylvia Kozielski placed 2nd in the 100m dash, 2nd in the long jump, and 2nd in the triple jump.

GAL 7th at Top Times meet

Bloomington, IL  (March 29, 2014).  Senior Paulina Gal finished 7th place at the Illinois Prep Top Times meet Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan State.  She threw very well with the best throwers in the state of Illinois.  She threw 40 feet, 3 inches.  "She battled well!" stated Coach Jeff Kreil.  "This meet has the best of the best--and Reavis should be VERY proud of the way Paulina competed."

Senior Paulina Gal---STATE BOUND in shot put for Indoors

Burbank, IL  (March 27, 2014).  Senior Paulina Gal has qualified for the Illinois Top Times meet this coming up Saturday at Illinois Wesleyan University.  This meet is the equivalent to an Indoor State meet.  She qualified with marks that ranked 10th in the state of Illinois.  And she only competed twice when we entered her marks.  Reavis does not have an indoor season...just a few meets to get us going on the right foot.  Tuesday, at Romeoville, she improved her marks again by throwing 41 feet 8 inches.

Girls participate in their last indoor meet with successes

Romeoville, IL  (March 25, 2014).  The girls competed at Romeoville High School Tuesday night for their last indoor meet of the season.  For the Varsity squad, Paulina Gal competed very well and finished 1st place in the 800m run, 1st place in the 200m dash, 1st place in and 1st in the shot put.  Tara Rojas finished 2nd in the high jump and 3rd in the 55 m hurdles.  Stephanie Majewski finished 2nd in the 3200m run.  Christine Trovato finished 3rd in the 3200m run.  Sabina Bukowska finished 3rd in the 1
