Girls end their season at Midlothian Meadows at the IHSA Sectional meet

Midlothian, IL  (October 27, 2012).  The girls ended their season by representing Reavis High School very well as they competed hard at the IHSA Sectional meet hosted by Marist High School at Midlothian Meadows Forest Preserve.  It was a tough Sectional meet, with the girls fighting every foot of the course.  Nicole Maier had the highest finish for the Rams, with Michele Lewellen, Sabina Bukowska, Stephanie Majewski, and Angelina Duda all scoring for the Rams.  Caroline Cyrwus and Jenn Chavez were the pushers for the Rams.  

Jessica Watychowicz WINS big at University of Wisconsin-Parkside

Kenosha, Wi (October 18, 2012).  Reavis graduate (2009) Jessica Watychowicz WINS big at the Lucian Rosa Invitational hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside, the university that has been her home the past three years.  Jessica finished the 5K course in 17:24 finishing 1st out of 189 runners in frigid weather conditions.  This time is the fastest that any University of Wisconsin-Parkside has ran the course.  So far, she has been the top runner all season for the Rangers.  In previous meets, Jessica has also finished 4th out of 413 runners at the Roy Griak Invite held in M

SSC Red Division Conference Meet

Palos Heights, IL  (October 13, 2012).  The SSC Red Division Conference meet was held at Conkey Woods this Saturday.  The Frosh/Soph team finished 2nd place overall.  It was led by Katie Zimmerman who finished 6th place.  Laura Monsreal (7th), Leann Kanka (11th), Monica Gutierrez (13th), and Gisela Ramirez (14th) were the scorers, while Isabella Borzecki (16th) and Krystal Vergara (18th) were the pushers for the team.  Personal bests were run by Laura Monsreal, Leann Kanka, and Gisela Ramirez.  The Varsity team finished 3rd overall, led by Senior Nicole Maier (3rd) and Juni

Girls "Catch Up" to a 3rd place team finish

Palos Heights, IL  (October 4, 2012).  The girls did an incredible job catching up in last night race at Conkey Woods, as they finished 3rd place out of 12 teams.  Junior Michele Lewellen was the top overall finisher with a time of 20:42 for the 3.0 mile course.  Nicole Maier, Stephanie Majewski, Sabina Bukowska, Jocelyn Acosta, Angeilina Duda, and Caroline Cyrwus all combined their efforts to help the team finish as well as they did.  Jenn Chavez was again the top open runner for the Rams, as she finished 4th place overall.  What a great team effort!

Girls end their regular season 14-2

Blue Island, IL  (October 2, 2012).  The girls ran at Eisenhower last night, and added three more wins beating Eisenhower, Shepard, and HillCrest.  This brings their overall regular season record to 14-2.  What a GREAT accomplishment for this group of hard working athletes.  Senior Nicole Maier ran her heart out, running the 3 mile course in 19:38 and finished 2nd overall of over 80 runners.  Michele Lewellen (3rd), Stephanie Majewski (6th), Caroline Cyrwus (11th), and Katie Zimmerman (14th) were the Ram scorers, while Angelina Duda (15th) and Jocelyn Acosta (16th) were the

Lisle Invite a huge success for the Runnin' Rams

Lisle, IL  (September 29, 2012).  The girls competed at Lisle this Saturday.  The Varsity team finished 8th out of 27 teams, while the Frosh/Soph team finished 9th out of 27 teams.  Senior Nicole Maier finished 11th overall out of 139 runners, running the 5K race in 20:27.  Michele Lewellen also ran well, finishing in 21st place, while Jocelyn Acosta, Maggie Wojtowicz, Caroline Cyrwus, Angelina Duda, and Sabina Bukowska were the remaining Runnin&

Runnin' Rams improve season record to 11-2

Calumet City, IL  (September 25, 2012).  The girls survive the TFN experience, as they improve their record to 11-2.  They not only beat TFN, but they also crushed Richards and Oak Forest.  Nicole Maier again conquered the field of 60, with a first place 2.99 mile time of 19:20.  Michele Lewellen (2nd), Sabina Bukowska (4th), Stephanie Majewski (5th), and Caroline Cywrus (6th) helped the Rams to almost perfect score, while Angelina Duda (7th) and Katie Zimmerman (9th) helped push out critical points for the Rams.  And once again, the top 10 switched up again--making it inte

Tinley Park, IL  (September 22, 2012).  The girls competed at the Tinley Park Invite this Saturday.  The Varsity team was again led by senior Nicole Maier, who finished 8th overall out of well over 125 runners.  She ran the 3.0 mile hilly course in 19:52.  Sabina Bukowska, Caroline Cyrwus, Jocelyn Acosta, and Maggie Wojtowicz were the scorers, along with Maier and helped the team finish 10th out of 18 teams.  The pushers for the Rams were Jenn Chavez and Yesenia DelReal.  The frosh/soph team finished 7th out of 18 teams and was led by Stephanie Majewski, who finished 24th o
